What Are Behaviour Consultations For?

If you have a behaviour concern with your dog, a behaviour consultation is ideal. Behaviour issues can interfere with your life and relationship with your dog. They can create a tremendous amount of stress, anxiety and distress for your family and your pet, and at times it can feel hopeless.

Our expert behaviour consultations can help empower you with strategies and support to manage the behaviour problems you are facing with your pet. We use an approach based on scientific evidence and practical solutions that are humane and effective. Jasper is a Certified Trainer and Behaviour Counsellor and is experienced in working with dogs who have behaviour problems, so you can be assured that you are receiving professional guidance.

While we are able to help in the majority of cases that we see, sometimes there are behaviour issues that require a higher level of intervention and clinical support. If we are unable to help you, we will be able to refer you to a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist or Veterinary Behaviourist who can deliver the appropriate medical intervention. We work very closely with your vet, as we appreciate that with behavioural problems there are often underlying medical issues that need to be addressed.

Behaviour problems can come in a variety of forms. Some of the behaviour problems we help with are:

  • Fear and anxiety
  • Reactivity
  • Dog-dog aggression
  • Resource guarding
  • Human aggression
  • Handling issues
  • Separation anxiety
  • Predatory behaviour
  • Noise phobias
  • Compulsive behaviour

Our Price

An initial behaviour consultation costs £250 for the two hour session. This includes a report, behaviour modification plan and ongoing support. Subsequent follow-up sessions are charged at £60 per hour.
